Wow thats a great deal! ...sorry about the mix up. I'll keep an eye out for deals online. Is there a favorite motor that performs well with the VKing ?

the Pro Max I brought from a person on Scream & Fly was a 2000 that only had 6 1/2 hours on it I was looking to buy this motor that was in Oklahoma but the guy selling had a package boat, motor trailer , he was going to split the package but was waiting till a certain date to split. Someone else from this state bought the whole package for the motor cause of the low hours, I didn t have the money to buy the whole package BUT then the guy that bought the whole package decided he was going to part out the motor. He never parted it out and I was talking to him about the lower unit and he said hed sell me the motor .thats how I ended up with a motor with 6 1/2 hours on it the boat and trailer was also like brand new

Sorry guys I must have interpreted this quote from RussF incorrectly. .... "thats about the same weight as a 200 fishing motor, and you can not buy a NEW Pro Max. Mine only had 6 1/2 hours on it from the factory a 2000"

So bottom line is I have to look for used online or get an opti new?

Hey Guys. Ive heard you can purchase MERC pro max engines from the factory with very few hours on them. Does anybody know what a 200-225 hp pro max would go for?and where I could get them in canada or parts of the USA close to Canada?

Thanks again,

Andy
