New V-King Owner!

Hi Everyone!

I have come to this forum a number of times over the past 2 years to do some research on these beautiful boats, and am now proud to say I finally am a Hydrostream owner! The boat is a 1989 V-King Canadian Edition (I live up in Ontario, Canada). I had the good fortune to find a V-King with a new floor, carpet, and core saving me from doing that work. It has a 1989 Mariner Magnum II 150 on the back and the previous owner tells me the boat is good for 75 mph as it stands although I haven't had it out on the water yet. The seller was very friendly and helpful as well which really helped seal the deal. Anyways I'm sure this board will be a good resource for me as I learn the ins and outs of being a Hydrostream owner! Nice to meet you all, will post pics soon once I figure it out.

- Dave

Sweet looking ride. Please check the CORE and make sure it is OK. No one on this site wants to see anyone get hurt over a bad core

From my experience the best way to bring old gel back is to wet sand it.

RussF - unfortunately the driveway isn't mine haha!

And to Varigeo - the floor has been replaced along with the core in the last 2 years and it has always been stored inside. Do you have any links to websites that can explain the whole wet sanding process to new guys like me?
