Ron,
Have Aaron call Dustin at Countryview Marine about a trailer. He is just a few miles North of Aaron's shop and has a pile of nice trailers from junked boats, many insurance totaled, so the trailers are perfect. You would just need to install two bunks which are easy to fabricate or he may even have something that the boat would slide right on.
His number is 651 462-2400
If I can help in any way, I am just minutes away as well. I can fabricate or weld up whatever you need.
Ron

That is awesome! Glad to hear it's going to a great home of a true stream guy. I thought I heard about someone possibly picking it up but it must have not all panned out. Your going to have to keep us posted on all the progress with it for sure.

Thanks guys!! You know I will charish this boat and treat it like one of my kids!!! Oh, BTW, all the little boats are gone. Kids didn't use them much and were a pain to store.
What's up with bottomsup boat repair in ILL that had the same ad on S&F that said he was in posession of this boat? Didn't notice this detail till after I got off the phone with Aaron. Not worried, just curious.
For Sale: Please read and make offer......
Hydrostream Virage
NEEDS CORE AND FLOOR
This is the last Virage ever made and it was Released to me by Howard Pipkorn. It is an awesome part.
The deck is perfect and the hull is not, plain and simple. With a recore it is a back to oem boat. During my lasy trip to picl up a bruiser Vector I stopped in to complete the deal.
This is not a scam or something that will go away and has never had one hole drilled in it.
I have acquired it in the same manner I acquired the original Vector molds in 2001,trust.
Please no tire kickers or people who are just asking Hydorstream questions.
The Pipkorn's are very private and this is a gift to whom ever receives the winning bid. I will list it here on screamandfly.com until 1/11/11,then it will be listed on ,EBAY and CRAIGLIST.
I will ship this boat anywhere in the world.
Please email me you offer to Bill@bottomsupboatrepair.com with serious offers only. Please include you real name and a phone number in your email or you will not be called back.
Comments more then welcome..........

Ronnie, thanks for the tip. I'll tell Aaron. I said I could search Craigslist and so forth and have a trailer bought and dropped off for him to fit the boat to but with him trying to run a business, might be problematic. He said to let him run with it for now. Said he had a source for trailers. Might even be the guy you're talking about. He'll need to pin the deck to the hull and put on some eyes for trailering.
There are a couple things I'm going to have problems with. Front seats. Were the frames wood or fiberglass? I should be able to create duplicates from pictures. If someone had an un upholstered frame I could get a template from, that would be awesome. You know this will get really expensive. The center floor storage locker. The cover looks to be teak. The aluminum trim ring should be able to be fabricated with a jig and the right aluminum?? Anyone with these items I can get measurements/ templates from would be greatly appreciated.

Thats why I assumed that Howard had gotten rid of it already. I knew I seen it somewhere. And here I thought I was seeing things again.
Glad to hear that its going to you though as I know you will get it back on the water and keep it around for many years.
Also, Im not to far from Aarons shop either (About 20 miles give or take a few) so if you find a trailer or if anyone finds one and needs to get it to Aarons shop just let me know if the other guys cant do it.

I was just looking at that again, Something seems fishy with BottomsUp if they said they had it yet Aaron is saying Howard still has it. I know Aaron is a stand up guy and both Aaron and Howard race together with the Board in the Twin Cities Power Boat Association so. Makes me wonder what is going on there. Hmmmm....

That's an awesome offer!! Thank you!! Both you and Rev. Ronnie. You how it is....dealing over the phone and putting so much on the line. It's groups like this that take alot of stress out of a long distance deal.
I sent Sam (scary fast) a PM on this. Hopefully he'll chime in and straighten this all out. Don't want to jump to conclusions. Seems like several people are trying to help Howard sell his boat. Tried calling Billy at bottomsupboatrepair but no answer. I'll try Aaron in the morning if I haven't heard anything here.

I'm guessing the seats would have been plastic as my 91 vegas has them. If you want detailed pics I could get them for you next time I'm out at my storage shed.

Got a reply from Aaron.
Ron,
It is the same boat. It is at my shop, but Bill volunteered to help me sell it for Howard, because my S&F membership does not include classified ads. Plus, he know alot of people in the community. Also, I talked to Howard yesterday. He said he would write up an MSO for the boat, and said he was not sure if he would be available the begining of May, but if he was, he could possibly swing by my shop for a quick meet & greet. Also, I am sure I could get him to sign a dash plauqe or something for you. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks,
Aaron,
XP
