Well, had a really good day yesterday and Chet seen first hand how much of a headache this thing has been due to a really poor previous repair job. If this was all original I would have been done long ago but its just been a nightmare to work on thanks to very poor workmanship on the repairs.
Don't worry, I will have some good pictures later today. I am also going to try and grind on it some more today but we'll see how I feel.

I was hoping to get more done but the extra resin and other "custom" stuff slowed progress down. That and I learned a 7" 36 grit sanding disk cuts skin fairly easily and ended up getting some stitches after we were done.
All in all I had a good day talking streams with another stream lover what else could one ask for.
Well, after yesterday few hours of work, then a short break to take a ride in Chets viper, I have a lot more motivation now. That viper got up on the pad with zero effort and was smooth as ever. He has one hell of a stream!
And now for what we had got done yesterday so here are some pictures...
These are just a few pictures about half way through the work of the day and just part of the pile of junk that came out of the boat.
And the small pile of junk from the boat. There was still plenty in the boat yet.
More pictures to come of the jackplate and all that transom reenforcement junk and mostly cleaned out of all the junk from the day to see what is all left. I just keep trying to envision it on the lake.

Well, I managed to get in about 3 hours of grinding yesterday at Chets place and used his steel grinding disk and what I got done would have taken me 8 hours with the paper disks.
It might not look like much but if you actually seen what I am working with you would understand.
Here is what I am having to grind away. The pictures don't really show how bad it really is.
I did a tiny bit up front but spent 99% of my time in the back.
And this is what happens when you get carried away with that grinding disk. That thing will melt right through your hull if your not careful. Notice the 2 holes.
I will be going and picking up one of them disks later this week and hopefully get more grinding done. That thing is worth every penny.

Ha! I wish I was "busy"
But I wasnt that lucky. Thats is about the worst I have ever seen her so please forgive her and I am sorry.
And now for some pictures...
Chet banging out some stuff in the back
And here is just some stuff up front. Its clean here compared to when we started working on it.
And here is how we left it at the end of the day. A
HUGE improvement. Wont take much more and it will be time to go in the other direction. I am getting excited.
And I have to toss this one in here... Chet returning home from the paint shop with his V-King. Dont let him fool ya, It looks really good I think.
Its going to be at least another 2 weeks before I can get anymore done on it I thing cause of me starting my new gig on monday for work but the new job will be bringing good things so I now have a goal of 2 months to get it in the water! Its gonna be close but I think I will be able to do it.
