Rut, most of the bikes are side jobs or storage for buddies, I used to be e bike mechanic until I broke my hip in a accident. I have a beater sled but haven't used it in a couple years. No carbon on the vking if I ever get time to work on it.
Varmint, I will not be putting a floor in the vking and when I put the floor in the viper I did use csm on both sides.

I needed a little motivation so I went to my storage shed and picked up the vking. It will be a couple days before I can start working on it but I guess it's some progress.

Re: Not your average recore
Well I finally started to make some progress on the vking, no where near where I want to be but if I can keep at it I should be done by spring.
I picked up a nice 200 case and started with a bobs cone and added a custom touch. It's notched for a 15" so it will clear the ram.

I didn't like the look of the rubber hose so I decided to weld in a pipe instead.

I picked up a 260 cowl since my alien is being repaired, I'm not sure which one to use I guess I will have to see what they look like once the top is done.

I pulled the mid back off and cut the transom that I had built up for the 20" mid, I'm going to pick up a 15" this coming week.
I went to work on the dash, once that is done I can work on the steering. I will be using cable and wing-plate steering and I figure it will be a lot easier to install the pullies before I cover the deck.
My template made from 1/2" foam, so nice to cut and shape.

The tach is a little low but I need to be able to see over it. I can still see from 4000 up so that is what is important, that and it's a play back tach so I can see what is going on after the race.
