Had a piece of aluminum left from another project. Was large enough to use as a transom saver.

The underside of the deck was painted with Rustoleum Top Coat paint. Going to lay out the wiring for the dash while it is upside down, and much easier on the back.

Used orange with gold pearl on top. The majority of the hull will be white.

Picked up a piece of T-6061 aluminum to make a dragplate. Mock up of the cardboard template. It will bend downward at the drawn line.

Picked up this 20" Offshore Ridgeback on S&F for a good price, The exhaust snout had been hacked off, but not discarded. Welded it back on and it will get a treatment of Zinc Chromate and Phantom Black. Will use the second hole from the top on the motor mounting. It will have enough travel to go 1.5" above the pad and 2.5" below...should cover my needs.

What's the hot rod in the background? I'm stunned by the build and time and effort you have out into this build, can't wait to hear of the numbers you'll be getting out of it, keep us posted

The hot rod is a 1973 Chevy Vega. Full tube chassis with 355 sbc, Dana 60 rear and turbo 400 trans. Being built as a Super Pro bracket car. All the chassis work and sheet metal work is done. The build fabrications are almost finished and it takes a "back seat" to the Viper project!
