Thanks Guys. Today It started, I glassed the transom together. Got my order delivered yesterday and today the shop was a steady 65 deg. So I went and did it. I got to say I was a little scared when i started to mix the resin that I was going to screw it up and ruin the transom, but it all went great. Tomorrow I have to work on the owner of the marina's wife's car. He told me when I finish her car I can bring the boat into the shop. So I hope its not going to turn out to be a big job. I would like to get the boat into the shop so it can warm up all night, then I can put some glass on the old transom and fix the crack and a few small holes. Hopefully set the new transom in on Friday. Then cut the stringers and put balsa core, I better slow down I am getting way ahead of myself just so much more fun putting it back together. I will have some pic. tomorrow. Thanks guys for all your help and the help I will still need.

The small holes on the transom well need mat over them or they well just crack back out and show and that would suck affter all the fine work you have done just alittle heads up I made this mistake once and it was quite a bummer haveing nice little round cracks in the new paint . Looking good though love the clamps looks like some we use .Hope to see more pics any thoughts on a color yet?.

Well, got some more work done on it today. Got the transom in and glassed, and cut the stringers. I used 3 strips of 1708 cut to 6" wide, one went on the bottom 3" on the floor and 3" up on the transom the other 2 went on the sides in the same way. ( thanks Chet ) Then another layer of 1708 6" past the side and across the transom 6" past the other side. So there is a 3" overlap over the first piece. Hopefully tomorrow I will get 2 layers of 1.5csm on the pad and the stringers set in place. Wishfull thinking......

Oh man, I knew I did something wrong....... I thought they should go to the transom but the plywood was only 8 feet long and I needed the stringers to end up front so I could put the front bulkhead in........Yes they do go the transom , I just took a pic. of them. Tomorrow they should be glassed in were they belong.
