Looked up the lumber yard, gonna be one of those types of trips eh? Driving that far might as well drive the extra hour into dallas and hit up Pantera's "place" The Clubhouse. If you like rock and roll with plenty of"talent" its a must.

Good luck with the trip, enjoy some texas hospitality.

Dont do nothing I wouldn't do, should leave you with plenty of options.

Thats the way I go. Take 35 to Kansas City the jump on 71 and head south to Joplin MO then grab the back road (To avoid the crazy expensive Oklahoma toll) and then grab 69 there in Big Cabin and take that all the way south through Oklahoma to Hwy 75 there on the south side of OK (69 runs right into 75 so no need to stop or turn for anything) and take 75 right into downtown Dallas. Its like 2 hours shorter and just about a 100 miles shorter then taking 35 all the way from Minneapolis.

There are a few other ways but I was doing that in 15 hours in the semi. Leave Mpls at 5am and be in Dallas at 8pm or so. And its a really nice drive too when you get off the interstate in Kansas city and take the US Highway the rest of the way. Oh yeah, Go the back roads in MO and OK to avoid the toll road and you actually run the old Route 66 for a bit. :D
