Stringer placement
Stringer placement
I've read many thread's over on S&F about people installing there stringer's on top of the pad core but some put the stringer's in first and the core inbetween. Which way is right what do you guy's think ? How did hydrostream do it ?

Re: Stringer placement
I did mine like they were originally. Stringers to the hull, core around them.

Re: Stringer placement
I agree with ccrick, The V-King/Viking/Vulture have the stringers attached directly to the floor. I don't have any experience with the other boats but have heard that other models are the other way. When the core comes out it becomes real clear which way it is done. I will be returning mine to the same as it was originally. (Top Picture) Nice illustration. Bill

Re: Stringer placement
I think all the vipers were done that way. For what rhyme or reason? I have no clue. I'm sure there is a logical reason though. Theres alot of differences like the core goes all the way to the chines. Maybe someone who knows could chime in with an answer!

Re: Stringer placement
My vulture and every other vulture I have heard of has the stringers on the hull and core around it. Thats how mine is and thats how its getting redone.

Re: Stringer placement
I think if you had stringer's on top of the core and the core ever came loose the stringer's are gonna come loose too and that might get ya a bad case of the wet a$$
