I sold it last weekend. I was told it had a hemi in it but I don't think the stringers would have held up with any real power.
There is a guy from Omaha that races with us that has a cole that weighs under 1400 lbs with a 502 that gets up and goes. I think this hull weighed more than that with no motor.

This is the boat that started it all for me, it's a 16' 1981 monark. I bought it with a 85 horse suzuki and a weak transome for $500. I ran it for a year then replaced the transome and put a 115 DI BRP on it. It will do 61 on gps but with the round bottom it's a pain to drive. My vegas was down last weekend so I took it out tfor the first time this year.

I'm with michigan hot boats and there's some scary fast flatties. Unbelivable accelleration :shock:
