It's looking better...ran great! I re-did cowling during snowstorms...not completely done but pretty cool.
Was sooo nice just being "on the water" w/ the family :0) Oh...and going really fast.
Well, it's kinda high-tech. Hair dryer:0) Tried goo-gone, oops...nothing worked. Hair dryer doesn't get too hot like heat gun to damage fiberglass. It is time consuming and need to clean remaining residue with goo-gone and elbow grease. Finish with Meguiars Oxidation Remover. Wax with Liquid Glass. Make it shine w/ Yacht Brite.
Credit card scraper also helps with difficult sections. I'm ordering pinstriping and should be done next week w/ mine.
I used Mercury Phantom black to fill in every little ding, sprayed into cap and used match (tip from Lakeside Marina) ripped side and it really worked.
Hope that helps.
Well, it's raining here so we continued to work on the cowling. Have 1" dark charcoal metallic pinstriping on order for indents above and below logo...should look good :0)
