Re: Valero YT-First Run

Hmm...previous owner had overheating problem just going on plane. New popit and thermos out by him. I then replaced questionable low water bypass w/ two good ones. Water pressure is great and using temp. gauge...starts getting hot at extended high speed...terrible performance at low speed and idle, sounds gas starved...stats back in? thermostats :0) Wouldn't explain high speed though...stats would be open anyway?
As far as enthusiasm, I have boated literally my entire lfe. My last boat was a Baja Sunsport, I used to miss it :0) Kinda like going from driving a tank to a corvette. Have two little girls and one big one that love fast boats...eight year old has finally forgiven me for selling the Baja :0)

Thanks for your time,

Jeff

Your kids had a great day. But man sorry for saying it but while they are having so much fun and your up and running fast. Please see what could happen if one fell out at speed..

Im just talking about them being in the front of the boat like that..God id hate to read of one getting hurt or ?
Just my 02 here.
Now with that said back to your motor.
Good luck.
Understand your concern...I watched the video after being there and it looked much more dangerous than it actually was.
Next trip I'll put them in bubble wrap, bungee cord 'em to the boat and use some duct tape to be sure.

I would put the stats back in. They actually help cool keeping the water in the block.

Did you say you are running the oil pump and adding oil as well?
Have someone prime the bulb at idle and punch it. This will fill the carbs and check for fuel starvation.
How old are the plugs and do you know what jets it has?

I deleted all video for liability purposes...sorry if I made a mess on the board.
The entire video was a little over a minute...the music was there to cover up my wife and myself shouting at the kids to sit down.
I wasn't full throttle at any time during the video...but fast enough that it would be unsafe to stop instantly
Tried to delete audio (Audioshare), but you can't on Youtube. Won't ever repost.
I still thought it was great because the kids were just soo happy :0)
With that being said, thanks for all the help and insight that many members have given...really appreciated.
I can't handle any more drama or p.c.

Holy editing!!! I think you have just ruined a thread that could have been useful to others and now it looks like a bunch of rambling nonsense. LoL ;)

Should have just removed the link to the videos.

I sincerely apologize. I just don't want child protective services showing up at my door.
Please just purge all my info. from the board and delete my membership.
Thanks for your understanding in advance.
It was a "learning moment" though.

Jeff

Thanks

Hay man don't sweat it. I thought the post was just a heads up kind of thing. Like you said it looked worse on the video.

In the end you are one of us "hydrostream lovers".

Come back and play with us.
