Do have a inline or a v6, if you have the inline those carbs won't work.

The inlines were a blind bore block which means there is no head just a plate that covers the water ports, yes there is more to a 150 than a 115, the actual intake ports and exhaust ports in the cylinder are bigger on the 150 than the 115. Best thing is to find a bare 150 block or find a 2.0 or 2.4 liter v6 and put on it, they are easier to work on and modify

there is a guy online thats offering an overheated 150. the entire thing for 250. if he is close i might grab it for a rebuild. if it is bad, what are my chances of finding parts to do a fresh bore cleanup and shave the head to make sure itss straight? how much would a rebuild cost at a shop?

Is it a inline? I would have to say it would cost around 1200 to 1800 for a shop to do the work and all depends on what they find

I use my Vassarrette for musky fishing. 24v/55 thrust Motorguide moves it pretty well too. Platform and trolling motor can be removed in a minute if I want to take others along for a ride.
