Vulture information on hot foot

Post: # 13306Post vulture62 »

I am wanting to install a hot foot in my Vulture, is it possible to place in side the front of the separation in the front?
Any suggestions on modals?
I would love to have a dual cable where I can still use shifter, but not sure they are still on the market.
Thanks

I took the foot pedal off my Vulture and still have it in the garage. It was mounted into the front bulkhead similar to the top of the picture you show. Whoever did it though had drilled all the way through the bottom of the boat, backed those screws out, fiberglassed, then used some shorter screws. It fixed the hole in the bottom of the boat, but left some leakage into the core layer. It did not have a dual as you are looking for, but if you are interested in the foot pedal and the bracket and cable, pm me. It's just sitting around. Bill

I know its not the best picture but its the only one I could find that shows my hot foot in my Vulture.

Mind was just a few pieces of wood glassed to the hull so it sits flat (And can better mount it where you want) and then screwed to that. Plus that way you wont go into the bottom of the hull and if that piece ever rots just take it out and glass a new one in.

I will be putting it back in this way also.

I was in the middle of removing a bunch of wiring and stuff in this picture and I hadnt even pulled the floor up at this point to find what would become my own worst nightmare.

Hope that helps.

I think I am going to mount mine on a piece of stainless, run it over to the side and attach. I know a guy who has done this to many go fast bass boats.
