any know this boat

looking at a Hydrostream Valero Bowrider YT with a 1994 Mercury 2.5L ,its in MN ,he says its original seats ,floor, transom,etc.how are these boats,any info on this boat,thanks

I have not seen this boat but you can almost bet that if the floor is original and everything that it will need core/transom work. Some may say its dry but unless you know for a fact (Cant tell by doing a tap test on the outside of the hull or with the floor in place) I would say its wet to some degree.

What year is the hull? Some years were built better then others and that could make a bug difference in build quality too. I forgot what years but the had a few years that material and build quality was questionable but I forgot what years. I think Chet know so maybe he can chime in here.

Nice looking boat for sure though. Where is it located and what do they want for it?

there this guy from NY that has a 88 Viper Never rigged, never in the water and the core was gone just because it sat outside for a little while and the rain got into the core

Im guessing your talking about MrMagus blue viper? He is correct. He never rigged it and he thought how can the core be bad and what do ya know, The core was bad so he had to redo all the core in it. He still has not put a motor on it. LoL

I think his viper is a 91 or so but off top of my head I cant remember now.

I have a closed bow Valero and love it as long as chop is no larger then 2ft any bigger and its time for the vhull .

well it sounds like the general consensus is the core and transom are either bad or more than likely have rot. Well I guess i need to find someone to look the boat over for me ,boats located in Minneapolis. any suggestions ,thanks guys
