So it turns out I cracked the block (xr4 150) on the virage. I have a complete 2.5 block crank rods pistons still together just needs a cyl bored. No carbs linkage electronics. will the 2.5 block match up with the 2.4 mid section. Will the electronics, fly wheel, and carbs work on the 2.5? Any advice?
Tx mike

Re: 2.4 to 2.5 power head swap?
Hi Mike.
I'm not sure if your 2.4 stuff will all fit on the newer 2.5 block.
I am curious where your block cracked.
People throw away 2.5L motors all the time up here. If I find one soon, I could send you all the externals for the cost of shipping Just because you have a Virage... brother.
