Here's an onboard ride on my Vision. You can hear the motor clearly make almost like a Coil pack studder....

What do you guys think that is?

Here's another video:

Do you think it's the fuel flow problem you were talking about?

Well after talking to some buddies that race sleds up here they say when there is lack of fuel in these two strokes they will studder like that. To me coming from Automotive race engines I hear a coil pack or plug wire studder.

I guess I'm going to find out Silkey! I am responding to the fuel pump thread next.

Great history no doubt, but I believe it's more a mater of hull and prop limitations than horsepower keeping that record alive.

Long live the black motor...or gray.

I did hear a interesting rumor that I hope comes true about a certain company getting into the race scene.

Just messing around about the record. The Black motors are fast, and Merc and the aftermarket are geared for them. Bombardier would have to change their philosophy for more serious competition to take place. To be competitive it seems that a real motorhead has to get hold of a Rude, AND spend big bucks. I like them because it's all I've ever owned, and I can do a lot of the work and maintain one myself. I also don't want a motor that's prone to blowing up frequently.

I was just joking too. Wait to see something come out of BRP that will have mercs scrambling, heck some privateers are tearing it up with the e-tecs already.
