what prop on viper

i have a viper with a 175 evinrude and have just got done doing a ful restore and was wondering where i should start with buying a prop what would be best a chopper or wat? any help is appreciated thanks!

I would bet a chopper would be a good starting point. They are cheap and plentiful used so you can try a couple different pitches.

That would be a good starting point. If you are looking for top end you will want to go higher, but that would be a good all around pitch.

I can't remember what the gear ratio is but that should put you in the mid to upper 60's.

Welcome Wildone, that 175 should turn a 26 easily, Tell us more about your set up though. Got... jackplate, low water pick up, etc? This will determine which prop also.

BTW is this boat new to you? If it is , think safety.

o ok i set it up center steer with one seat in the back also with a jackplate 6in set back i dont have low water pick up yet i am in weldin school right now and can tig weld pretty good right now and had a buddt just put one on his merc so i will be doing it pretty soon but right now no lwp
