Wow!!! Looks like the steering let go or something. Seen it posted over at S&F so I thought I would post it up here.
For how hard he was driving that thing he should have had a jacket on but he didnt. Glad he is A-OK though.

That's scary but yea, I think the bass boat one was more violent too.

He was pretty lucky to make it out of that one. Quite a scary crash!
So it does look like the steering went, hard over right. I guess this is a good reminder for everyone to check their steering system. From stern to helm!

I find it scary, just how many over powered boats you see for sale on e-bay and other places that have A) single cable steering in them B) steering systems that or loose and rubber motor mounts in the engines yet

Re: Hydrostream Vector crash.
That vid hit home. It sounds like the tiller arm broke. I have wing plates for the vking but the viper still has the small tiller arm, that will be changed before it hits the water.

Re: Hydrostream Vector crash.
I swapped out the fishin' tiller for an HD unit before I even hung the V6 on my boat. Fat tiller, allison linkage, dual opposed, AND a brace is the safest way to go about it in my mind....although I'm sure someone will prove me otherwise at some point. That kinda stuff scares the bejeezus out of me even knowing my stuff is good to go. Glad he's still walking around to tell the tale.
Chet, don't remember if you ran a triple ram or single, but if you need a fat tiller for a triple, I might be going to my single setup still this year and will have to buy another fatty for that and might have this one available.
FYI, for those that didn't know, the vertical length of the pivot pin on the HD tiller is different between the triple ram fishin' mids and a single ram offshores....inch and something difference between the two, so for those of you thinking about making the switch, know what you are looking at.
Old pic here when I first hung the motor and am missing the vertical bolt that ties the brace to the tiller and center link (its there now), but this is the setup I run and its been pretty good to me so far.

Broken small tiller arm....confirmed. Watch @ 1:08....motor goes hard right lock and the boat digs, hooks, and rolls.
