About this 17' 1979 Hydrostream Vector High Performance
1979 Hydrostream Vector, This is a piece of History, A True Howard Pipkorn Classic, Concave bow and Windshield like none other. This boat is valuable for many reasons, such as...*1. Seats are Mint, factory embroidered and not too old *2. Windshield is Mint, factory and also not too old *3. Hot foot throttle, trim on wheel, blue wheel not included *4. C.M.C. Hydraulic jack plate and Dual Steering *5. Bunk Drive on trailer with Mags and great tires *6. Carpet was redone not too long ago, Nice Deep Blue *7. Fiberglass smooth, some needing of refinishing to make mint, but transom hardly any stress cracks visible to naked eye!!! *8. 100 mph Faria Speedometer *9. 23 pitch Laser Prop in Mint shape *10 Mercury 1985 150hp 2 stroke, no oil injection but some parts to re-install, top 3 water intakes closed, exhaust modified sounds really good!, low end out of the hole power not great... but easily getting 60 mph and maybe can use some rings? one cylinder reading a little low. Price taking motor being not perfect already into consideration. Lastly...a super eye catcher! on the water... or pulling it on the road, or at gas station filling up!... this boat turns heads! Super Sharp Design even though 33 years old! Amazing. Selling because have another Hydrostream that my Girlfriend thinks is not as Scarey...lol. $3,999 (oh yeah even has sharp Pioneer CD player and heavy magnet speakers installed but not hooked up) 414-588-5250 Jim
OK this is now updated to a different motor i have had installed, it now has an XR2 150hp Merc in very nice shape! starts like a Champ with 120 psi Cylinders! This engine in great shape, gloss black paint on cylinders, the power trim has been intermittent? engine cowl a little gouged on right, but man this engine is clean, i will sell for $4,999 Cash on the Barrel since i have invested over $1,700 in upgrading to this motor, since everyone stayed away from last motor.

I love that color scheme! Now, I might as well be the first to ask cause someone is going to, has the core or transom ever been replaced?

Hi, i was concerned, since the stringers in my Valero were good and transom was rebuilt before rotted, this transom seems really strong, a few minor stress cracks, tight and floor was super solid, previous owner was very upfront and dealer who saw it said in good shape too! for a 1979. Not a rotted, faded junky boat, very nice condition, once motor fixed or replaced and clear coat fixed with some normal gouges on hull from years of use, this will be a sweet piece of history. Jim
