I have a extra gearcase from a 1997 175 mercury with 1.87 gear ratio. This is a stock gearcase and has some minor wear on the skeg typical with fishing use, it's all there just not quite new. I have pressure tested the case and installed a new inpeller and housing as well as changed the gear lube with volvo performance gear lube. I'm looking to get $500 + shipping It will be shipped in a box I just got a new merc case in. If there is interest I can email pics.
I might have a mariner 2-1 case as well, just not sure if I want to try it on the viper or not.
