Yes it would! How much weight would it add though?77viper wrote: It would look sick for sure.

Re: 1977 viper recore
If I did anything I will make it a winter project and make a mold. I see the end in sight and don't want to add any more work.

Santa came early!!!
I tried to sand a little last night but it was still to soft. I have my heater on under the bow trying to speed things up a bit.

Re: 1977 viper recore
I worked over 80 hours last week so I didn't get a thing done. I was out there last night and started sanding and will be working on it late tonight, I have another appointment at the body shop on saturday so I will be busting some *** getting it ready for the LAST coat of clear. I'm a little sick of sanding already.

Re: 1977 viper recore
Well I made it to the shop today after pulling off a marathon sanding session last night into this morning.
Here we are at the body shop.
There was a problem with static electricity, as we were wiping it down the cleaner would actually form droplets on the hull so Scott came up with this wire attached to the boat and taped to the ground.
This came out amazing!!! I am more than happy with it.
It's hard to see in pictures but the clear looks like it's a inch thick and the carbon changes with different angles.
Monday I will be sanding for THE LAST TIME!!! Then I will buff it and finish rigging.
I hope to have it ready for next weekend.

Re: 1977 viper recore
Thanks guys. I picked it up from the shop this morning and as soon as I got home I fell asleep on the couch for 5 hours. I'm headed out to the shop now to sand it for the last time!!!! Then a good buffing and I'm done with the restoration and on to final rigging.

Re: 1977 viper recore
I'M DONE SANDING!!!!
I finished wet sanding this morning and buffed it 3 times with different combinations of compound and pads, it looks and feels better than before. I will take it out of the garage tomorrow and get some pictures in the sun.
Now all i need to do is rig it, pull the powerhead and swap cowls add the drain plug fitting and install the windshield. I'm thinking it should get wet next weekend
