Boat is a Valero and solid white.
I am trying to decide wither to paint the the underside or gel it. Can't get imron or similar paint in Canada. I did use some Interlux epoxy filler in places and wonder if that would effect the gel from adhering ?
I have some Interlux Interprotecte 2002e also which I could use as the primer.
Boat won't be left in the water for more then 24 hrs.
Gives a rough idea of area where epoxy has been used.
Wondering how to post images or maybe change your avatar or maybe something else?

Re: Paint or Gel on bottom
How was rolling the entire area? How many coats? Have you sprayed a bottom? I was looking at th G100 for spraying but reviews were mixed.
Will rolling result in alot more sanding?

Re: Paint or Gel on bottom
Brian Carhart rolled it on for me and the rough texture was left there. I have zero plans to sand it smooth. Lightly textured bottoms tend to help break up the water from the hull and go a little faster. Thats why you see a lot of boats might have what looks like grey or black primer on the bottom of them to rough up the bottom just a bit. I guess we'll see what happens.
Now for the top, I wouldnt roll that at all, you would be doing a lot of sanding to get it smooth. I will be doing some sanding and stuff where my splashwell was removed as that had white gel rolled on it. It wasnt a lot but I have some body work ahead of me.
