Why do they use little squares instead of one solid sheet for the cores. ?

Is that the width of the core. Right up to the floor?

Anybody thinks this is stupid please let me know before I do it. I can't see a better way there is no lift holes or rings to hook to. I am going to wrap a lift strap around it and pull. [ Post made via Android ]

Did you pull it off already? I made my own bracket. Instead of the Mercury lift sleeve that screws into the flywheel I took 4 bolts out and made a bracket to lift it

Hey, thats a good idea. I might have to do something like that. I dont have a lift ring for my Evinrude and I need to get it on my boat here soon.

No problem! I'm glad you didn't use the strap. I don't know for sure if that would have turned out the best. I used 1/4 plate and went to the hardware store and got 4 of the flywheel bolts 1/4" longer so I had all the threads I could get without any play
