Since there will probably be a tight grip on the wheel most of the time and the need to grab the wheel to pull myself out of the seat, decided to gusset the dash near the helm to add support.

The viper i have doesn't have any stress cracks in the decking. After gusseting the splashwell and dash, the entire underside of the deck had an additional layer of glass added. Should help add more rigidity. While glassing i added some looms to hold wires, cables and hoses. The larger ones were made from a shrinkwrap tube and the smaller ones from pvc pipe.

Next will be clamping the deck back onto the hull and start all the rigging mock-up

Thanks Cody! Looking forward to getting all the rigging set up. I can almost begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel.... won't be long before things start thawing out.

Thanks mercman! I'm going to be painting the boat similar to my racing hydro, white and orange with gold pearl.
