Got to get a little work in on the boat today. Washed it out inside real good and finally got most of the left over fiberglass dust out of it so I don't have to work in it. Also spent what felt like forever drilling and pounding out rivets so I could take that janky looking so called rub rail off. Now I can get ready to do some light body work in the back and give it a temporary rattle can job so I can start mounting things in the back... Like the motor!

And here it is, all off and lightly washed off. Looks weird not seeing that junk on there.

I sure hope so! Just need to really get the steering sorted out. Going to go hydro eventually but for now just going to some new cables until I can afford to finish piecing it all together. Also seats. I have some now but I don't like them. I don't hate them but I don't really want to use them. Just not totally happy with them.

I am not too cencerend about a back seat right now but I have been looking at these on Amazon. Someone else pointed me to them and said they like them.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N1QHVKC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T1_yPFozbCZ16JQ3

I would love to get my original buckets redone as they are exactly what I want but they are a mess and of the 4 shops I have brought them too, they all dont seem to willing to want to do them and/or I get quoted like $250 plus to redo just one seat. Its stupid I think. Maybe I need to get my learn on. lol

That seat is perfect! If only someone made a bench to match.

And its not crazy expensive either and has a lot of good reviews on Amazon. And I like the fact its a plastic shell and not flimsy fiberglass like the ones I have now. I have another set too but they are wood base and they are rotted and about 2 inches too wide to fit how I want them too.

As for the back seat, pretty sure I will end up making my own and learn me some sewing skills. lol My mom knows how to sew but not sure about the marine leather stuff. Well, see when it comes to that. I have been saving pictures of back seat set ups and some of them look crazy simple.

I like the back to back seats that came in the older Streams. Like in the Blue one below. More of a high back bucket.

Would like a set for my Vector...someday...not sure, but may have to put the Vector up for sale. :(

Did make some good progress in my V-KIng though...need to update my pictures here....

Really hoping you get your boat wet this summer !!!

While I dont hate the back to backs, I do like the single buckets a lot better. Personal preference I guess.

As for getting the boat on the water this summer, I hope to have a motor hanging on it in 2-3 weeks. There will still be a ton to do though as far as rigging everything and fixing my lower and all that fun junk. Going to maybe work on my fuse/relay panel tomorrow and hopefully some light body work and paint in the back (transom) area so I can finally get the jack plate on there.
