Impressive

Is that one piece stringer/knee brace your idea or is that as it was originally?

Either way, it's gonna be strong!

Looks awsome man! Your almost there now. :D

Seeing you can bag at the shop there I might have to bring the vulture down there so I can bag it. ;)

The stringer idea wasn't mine, I copied someone else.

This is the first I used this set up. I took my hand held air vacuum and used it but it takes a LOT of air to keep it going. I originally took a contractors small air compressor and switched the valving so it would create a vacuum rather than build pressure, that worked fairly well but it would blow oil out the intake wtich became the exhaust. Hippie if you want it I'll give it to ya, I'm done with it.

I finished bedding my core tonight, I hope to clean up tomorrow and finish glassing the core and have my stringers in by this weekend. Then I will be filling the gauge holes in the dash.

Last night I picked up a Digitron EGT and Tach with recall so I will be embedding that in the dash.

I've been taking one step forword and two back the last couple of days. I will clean everything up then find a spot I missed grinding then make a mess again. I have to give credit to my dad for cutting all my wood for me, I couldn't cut a straight line if my life depended on it. We made templates of what I wanted then he cut them in his wood shop.

The last of the core.

I cut 1/2 " plywood for filler peices and got the dash about finished.
Image

I made the transome tall so I cut it down once in place and got it all glassed in.

Dad putting some finish touches on the stringers.

I had told dad about the the plate across the floor to cut the stringers and he came up with this great idea. The center board is 19" and the outer parts have one screw so it pivots so as the floor tapers in they could be brought in.

Dad even got a picture of me so I have proof I worked on it.

Looking great man! You going to fill in the splashwell? I cant remember if you said you were going to or not.

I really need to find a few days to work on my vulture getting it all ripped up and ground down. :( Of course I really have no clue what I am doing. lol

I finally took 2 steps forword!
I glassed the bulsa in the bow last night and finished the rest today. Dad helped again today so it all went good with no problems. It's just easier with two people.

I used a double bias fiberglass with mat or stichmat so it's a chopped mat on the bottom and a wolven cloth stiched on top. I ran it from far side of the pad up the sides so in the pad there is 2 layers of the mat.

I pre cut the mat and then used a 3" brush to apply the resin and work out any air pockets, I was amazed I actually got it to lay out without any creases or air under the mat on the sides. I do have about 4 small air pockets unter the bow so I will pick up a syringe and inject resin under the pockets tomorrow.

We also got the stringers bedded in, I will finish glassing them tomorrow then I will be gel coting the new glass to make it all waterproof.

I can say as I sit on the couch that it sucks. I think my age might be getting to me cuz I'm sore as heck in the mornings from being bent over.

If things go as planed I will be flipping the boat next week and starting on the bottom.
