the helicoil seems to be holding. i took the waterpump assemebly out of my old one and put it in the new lower unit. the new one was missing the oring on the bottom of the pump. i now have 3-5 pis at idle, and up to 12 at 3000 rpm. going to let the batt charge for a while and go for a test drive. il...

after removeing the lowerunit and inspecting his work, i found a waterpump housing bolt striped in the lower unit. he tried to fixit with jb weld. as an auto mechanic i know that **** is worthless. im off to find a heilo coil set and a complete waterpump assembely. i know there are many marinas open...

i installed my lowerunit, and was disipointed with the water presuer. the old unit kept 7-12 psi depending on rpm. this one barely holds 2-5. after a while running it in the tank for a while, the pee hole stops flowing and steam starts coming out. i imedatly shut it down. the guy i got the lowerunit...

Did you do the work installing the water hose stuff then or was there a cone on it previously so it was already there? I would start an inch below the pad or even with it and go from there. i had a friend do the welding, but i finished the body work. my best run was 68 mph on gps with the old unit. i would have to shut it down when i lost water pressuere.(too much trim) im really hopeing to break 70 saturday. if conditions are right, ill have a 3 mile streach to let it loose. i havent ...

just finished the body work on my new lower unit. i blew my last one up 8 weeks ago. the last one wasnt low water pick up, and i was loseing waterpressure at high trim. ill see saturday if i get better top end numbers

still looking for a 20 inch midsection for my 99 merc 3.0 250 EFI. would really like to mount that motor on the virage this winter. also have a dual cable helm with cables its from a viper i parted out, for sale or trade. it turns freely, and i greased it before storing it.

8 flounder and 5 trout, before noon. my daughter got her first flounder, then a trout and another flounder. sure would like to find a hooker hull, the virage is not fisherman friendly.

What you see is a "floor support". I believe it was made in a mold and glassed to the hull. The bottom panel is a false floor for the ski locker. Notice the three drain holes? I don't think these boats have stringers. I am going to balsa core the entire hull. Factory only cored the pad an...

here are some new pics. we were on the halifax river. i wish i had some action pics, but i dont. the boat handles great. the intercostal gets real rough, and i can blow thru the stuff other guys have to back off for.
