Question for all that have re-cored ?? Why does the core NOT go beyond that first chine up to the outer edge ? ( where bottom meets side hull ) that is still part of the running surface and wouldn't it be just as thin as the rest of the bottom ?? if you were doing a common boat that would be just a...

Sounds like the clutch dog linkage. I've done that... It will let you shift (push) into reverse but will not let you pull it back into any other gear.
