Is this a good thing?
Welcome to the forum. Pete knows way more than I do, but I restored a Vulture. Look for my restoration thread in WIP. It was a lot of work, but I got through it. Love my Vulture. It will need plenty of power and a jackplate to get it to fly right. I had so much fun on the Vulture, I am currently wor...

Re: Puget Sound Viper
I replace the transom and never put the rub rail on the back when done. Also, I prefer the hassle of working on it without separating over getting it back together correctly when done. That's just me though. Bill

Re: Puget Sound Viper
Welcome to the site. When you can, get some pictures up. Many of the guys here are happy to answer questions. Don't be afraid to ask. Usually there are more than one way to get things done, so don't be surprised if you get a couple different responses.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like your asking the right questions. I haven't found one yet with dry core. Take a real close look and be prepared to re-do it completely. Enjoy but be careful until then. Nice looking rig. Good motor also.

Re: 76 Hydrostream Ventura II SE - Restore Project
That's good. It's more work, but in the end you'll have a safe boat that will last at least another 40 years. My Ventura II and Viking projects are on hold for the summer while I boat, but will start them back up here in a couple of weeks. I'll try to post some pictures of mine when I get back into ...

Now you are getting somewhere. Look at all that rot. The stringers are half gone too. Take it all out until all that's left is a smooth fiberglass bottom from transom to bow. I'd do the transom at the same time. From the looks of it, it needs to be done too.

Welcome to the site. Make sure the core has been re-done or you will be doing it. Post a few times so you get your count up, then get up some pictures we can see it.

Yup - cutting squares helps a lot. Keep it up. You've got the right idea. I know it's a slow process. I'm working on two at the same time now. Nice rims and tires also. Bill

You still need to get below that fiberglass. The balsa is another layer down. Keep digging. Bill
