Foam core installation
I am re-coring my 74 Viper. I may use a foam core. Can it be done with-out vacuum bagging? How hard is it to do compared to a balsa core. Does some-one have pictures or video of it being done.

Foam Core
How difficult is it to replace the balsa core with closed cell foam? Can some-one give me a step by step? The balsa on my boat is good from the dash forward. I plan to replace up to deck. If I go with foam should I remove the complete core? Is the foam core as strong as the balsa?

Sales brochure
Does anyone have a copy of the 1974 Viper sales brochure. It would show me the color schemes and interior colors and configuration. Keeping my boat close to original would be nice. I returned my 74 Roadrunner to stock having a stock 74 Viper to match would be cool.

Re: I just bought a 1974 Viper project.
You shouldn't need a 15" mid the transom is 20" unless your plan is to surface drive the motor. Most boats I have owned handled better with the motor at the standard height.

Thanks my plan is a V4 120 Hp motor no jack plate. Mid to upper 60's is as fast as I need to go.

I just bought a 1974 Viper project.
I'll need information on the floor replacement and suppliers for materials needed. My plan is to use the colors of the 1976 bicentennial when I get that far. Any-one looking at my gallery can see the inside needs extensive work. I am an experienced auto restoration guy but this will be my first boat...
