I'm right into a full resto, and I bought my front seats for the project. All the hydrostreams that I have seeing here and there are mounted on a wood box frame or directly on the floor. Why is that ? Why not having swivel seats or or at least on a rail so they can be ajusted. Maybe not the passenge...

My lack of knowledge marine wise, can be somehow improved with my work background in bodywork for the last 15 years. I also have the advantage to be well equipped safety wise. With an oxygen mask, good gloves and a suit, bring any amount of grinding :))) the grinder becoming hot is more the problem...

Yup, rotten core in the pad as well. It's all out now and took what was left in the front. Pfffff what a job under there!! I guess I didn't Check my floor enough before asking.. It will be re-cored and done properly (vacuum bagged etc) just want to get all the rot out. But I had never seen any pictures with that layer off. So maybe it was just they way it was made. Also, what is the purpose of the part under the dash where we rest our feets ? Is is a support od some kind, a...
