Last summer at a boat race by my lake house, I struck up a conversation with Howard and his wife. He was admiring my Venus on the dock("one of his children" as he referred to it to his wife), and he agreed to sign the dash. He did a real nice signature right next to the grab bar. My sister got some pics of him doing it...though I have yet to get them! Howard told me to email them to him, but I think I'll bring him a framed copy this summer.
He is a real nice guy. quite a few people could not believe he signed it..I guess he does not sign stuff but very rarley. Anyhoo, I put 3M clear paint gaurd over it so it will outlast the boat.
I used to live right by the HS factory in Maplewood and I'd drive by them out in the yard every morning on the way to work. Now my uncle's shop is in the same building...and strangley enough, he went to high school with Howard and they were friends.
Well, thats my HS memories for the day.
