Welcome Streamfreak, I'm also a MN viper owner down in Montgomery.

How is the river for running in a small boat? I would bet it's better now that most of the boaters are done for the year.

dunno about the U.S.A.
but i always figured it would be more for insurance purposes
if something was to happen and your boat is overpowered
you're basically at fault right off the bat
probabaly voids any liability payouts as well

Does anyone know what the overpowering rules are in Wisconsin? I saw that in a previous post someone said if the boat was built before 1984 if was fine (were they being sarcastic?) I have a ventura with a 235 and wonder if the authorities would like my setup if they looked closely at it?
