hydro steering is really good like on our offroad trucks no play at all on the outboards if all you have is 1/2 inch that seems good to me but your steering well no staying in the same postion seems like to me you mite have something loose on the helm steering well lock nut dont know if yours has a key in it to keep if from rotating if it does check to make sure its in there other than that air in the line shouldnt make your steering wheel change postions as if the motor is straight and u turn and come back straight now ur steering wheel is in diff postion beats me couldnt say i know the answer

i just installed a teleflex seastar system and have a small concern. i read/watched a vid. in another thread where that person had some air left in his lines and you could visually see him steering right more than left as he corrected the boat.

i set mine up, bled the system (to what i thought was good), indexed the wheel. im unable to budge the motor side to side, no leaks, theres about an 1/2" play in wheel.(maybe less) is this normal? (never dealt with hydro steering before)

i ran the boat a few times and noticed the wheel has worked itself halfway around. so then thinking i had air in line i bled again getting very very minimal air out on one side.
indexed the wheel again and ran only to get same results. is this normal?? does the system work itself out at the beginning?? should i bleed again or index it and call it good?

my plans were to run it some more before bleeding and see what happens just thought id ask for advice or tips from yall first.
