Dustin, How about them pictures of your coreless set up. Im having to seriously rethink my Vulture and looking at options before I cut it into many little pieces and put in in the dumpster.

Could you show pictures of your 4 stringer set-up?

I have 4 stringers in the boat that run from the transom to under the dash. I have a single center stringer than runs 5 feet forward from there down the keel. The floor triangulates the load the stringers take. My center stringers have knees that are part of the stringer. I have 1708 over the tops of the stringers and over the floor.

So you no longer have a core? Did you run an extra set of stringers at all or just double up the 1708 or both? I would think 1 layer if 1708 would be no where near enough. But then again, Im no expert in the fiberglass world. lol

RussF wrote:Hippie that boat was recored by a pro for the owner and then started to delaim and repaired again and sold to Quarterhorse...I almost bought that boat but then I found the guy buildin the Thunderstreams and passed on that boat.....I come real close

It was suppopsed to have been done by a pro. He did a REALLY good job of putting the floor back down and half way patching it in a bad "spot" of core. When I removed all of his glass work, I found more rotten core. Trust me, if BJ paid much to have that done, he got taken to the cleaners and I feel bad for him.

Let's see some pics. BTW, you know how to know if a Hydrostream needs a core right? It says "Hydrostream". They all need 'em unless it's been documented that it's all been done and done right. I didn't put core back in rather put a layer of 1708 down and put stringers in. My boat has since made trips on WAY too rough of water and been completely out of the water more than a few times. No cracks other than my back haha.

Btw knocked a grand off the price tag...thanks for the tips! I've been reading the record posts and but have not come across this exact issue....any tips would really help :D
