Hippie I plan to have both streams up there and race the viper in 2 classes so the vegas might be available if a buddy backs out.

It was nice, everyone I talked to today thought it was such a great idea and willing to help in any way they could.

I had a meeting with Terry, the owner of Eagles point resort on big sandy lake today. This is my first experience trying to do anything like this so I was a bit nervous to say the least.
As soon as I got there we took my truck out on the lake to see if the location would work. My good old lowrance 520 would show temp but no depth but I think we found a great place to set up with the finish line right in front of the bar. After a nice drive on the lake in the rain we went inside and chatted about what we would need from him and what we would provide.
In the end we came up with a date of July 10th for the date. the race will be at the eagles point with registration and a boat show Friday night at Mark bar. Terry from eagles point and Sherlie from marks bar are super excited to be a part of this and should be a great help.

I will keep updating this as things progress, as of now it's still being planed and can change until we go to the sheriff and get our permit.

This picture is from in front of the bar looking down the boat landing.

This one is about where the starting line will be, with the finish line about where the grass is on the left.

Big Sandy would be great , but either I think would bring a good crowd of spectators and particapents
also closer to Canada border for those guys

keep us posted

My dad used to be on the lake assoc. at Minnewawa

Mcgregor area would be great there are a lot of go fast boats up there :boating:

I will be going up there next week to meet with the owner of Eagles point and work on some detales. The one problem we see is the lake association. If Big Sandy doesn't work out I will be in contact with you about Minnewawa.
