Well the first on is in the books. It went fairly well, a little disorganized at times but we tried some new things and with basically 4 of us club members trying to put on a show in a new venue what can you expect. The boat turn out wasn't up to where we were told it would be but there were enough and everyone had a good time. I was busy working on the motor until 12:30 Friday night and back at it at 6 in the morning. From there on I was running all day so I didn't get time to take pictures. I did mount the go pro to the cowl but went to grab it after the the race and it was gone. I guess the lake gods received my offering of the year.
My motor and nitrous system worked great but I have a problem with my trim system that would only allow me to use the bottom 1/3 of the trim range so I could not get the bow off the water. I would take the hole shot and 1/8 mile but the drag was to much and got ran down on the big end.
Winners were
Geoff Ericson Liberator with 300x "heavy and slow take off" won the 75mph class
I won the 85 mph class without nitrous.
Jerry Leanards in his wicked fast viper with a 245 with some work done beat me in the final in the 95mph class
Bob Albee in a DR20 took the 115 class.
