lol your off to a waaaay better start compared to me!.....31 Ft cat growing up ...I'm sure she'll be fine.....and figure out the you have to fly the boat!

The first time my girl stepped into my CV 16 ss she said...and I quote "Oh ...so this is a British boat?" .....I said no...why do you say that? "because dummy....the steering wheel is on the right hand side!" ......I don't even want to ask her what she thinks flying a pad boat is !!!! LMAO ....I can only imagine the "that time of the month" scene she will set up.

Minimize! Minimize! Minimize! Close! Esc! Esc! Delete! Delete! .... " Huh, what? No I was just checking my bank account." Lmao

Luckily my ol lady grew up in her daddys 31 ft offshore cat running 130mph. She still don't get what a pad boat does though. Lol

Great, thanks for your input! You recommend a manual or hydraulic jack for application such as this?

I suppose regardless of the weight of the heavier engine you still need to put it back to get more boat out of the water and get the prop away from cavitation?

Some will be driver preference, but it should be close to "normal", round ear prop, a little above the pad, probably 4-6 inches of setback.

It's probably no big deal, some later model 2.5's were 400+ lbs, add 28 gallons of fuel in the back, a big battery, and you're carrying a bunch of weight. Move the battery forward, less need for a big gas tank with better fuel economy, and it would balance out.
