CLE refers to the lower unit gearcase.
google "mercury cle" and you'll know what they're talking about.

agreed, very nice ride. love the original striping. and ill have to +1 transomstands quote. bobs is about your best bet on a stream. cle is much better than stock but still just not enough to be worry free. :up:
